Sacramental Program

Catholic education is also evangelization: bearing witness to the joy of the Gospel and its power to renew our communities and provide hope and strength in facing wisely the challenges of the present time.” (Pope Francis)

St Agatha’s Primary School works in a close relationship with the Parish community ensuring that the students have the best opportunities to access faith-based education, learn effectively and engage in a positive school experience.

In the Sale Diocese, sacramental programs are the responsibility of the parish in accordance with the Sacraments of Initiation for Children (policy of the Diocese of Sale). The school supports the Parish in the sacramental programs by assisting with communication to parents, enrolment procedures, facilitating parent/child workshops and through the formal Religious Education Program.

Our Sacraments Program for Reconciliation, First Eucharist and Confirmation is Parish based yet fully supported at school level. Students have the opportunity to build their knowledge and skills when visiting the Church, Rosary Garden and Adoration Chapel.

Students are invited to prepare for the Sacraments in the following Year levels and this preparation is done through the Parish.

  • Sacrament of Penance (Confession) in Year 4
  • Sacrament of First Eucharist (Communion) in Year 4
  • Sacrament of Confirmation in Year 6
